My own geocache.

I think its time for me to starting thinking about making my own geocache, finding places to hide them then publish their whereabouts.

I need too -
Find some containers and magnets
Make a log
Find an appropriate place to put the cache
Find the coordinates of this place
Publish the coordinates
WAIT!

Here are some example of home-made containers.

Thoughts and ideas.
+ I have been having ideas about asking people to write a word along with their log name that they feel about geocaching... that would be in wee caches. I'm trying to think of ways to involve the people that find my cache in my project somehow.

+ I'd also like to make hand made books to log this in so I would have a record of this.

+ Concentrate on how the cache are hidden

+  What are they hidden in?

+ Are they disguised?

+What shape is the container?

Constructed textiles

How do i translate the cache i have found into textiles?

Look at shapes ? = Cylinder

Multiply/repeat

( Architecture couture- Peter Gehrke)

Create cylinder like forms with moldable fabrics.
- vacuum forming
- embossing

Possibility to make constructed textiles that items can be inserted and hidden into.

This is outside the Satrosphere science centre

An wee camera film case attached with magnets well hidden at the between the box and the wall

"Howard's house" I think is my name. I hadn't written the house bit yet...

Rachel Whiteread

"Ghost" 1990

Cast of the entire inside of an old Victorian house. Shows sign of the place being lived in eg. wallpaper and specks of colour from the paintwork.

I got to log my first one, but shortly after realised I probably should not have written my real name?! Better remember that from now on.
